Hello, I am trying to design a radio controlled boat, but can not figure out how to shape the front where it all comes to a point. I have search youtube for hours and I'm still totally lost. How do i connect points on different planes to make a complex curve surface ???

I am pretty new to DesignSpark Mechanical.  I have made perhaps ~20 simple to complex designs (all with a single solid, although transiently multiple) and printed them with a 3D printer. I have now made a design with a fair number of solids in it for the first time (~ 40 solids), and now my pull tool will not work on most of the solids in the design.  Most of the solids are very simple, some more complex.  The pull tool will no longer work on most of the solids - including many (all?) of the very simple ones (rectangular prisms/cuboids).  If I make a new solid rectangular prism the pull tool works - both to create it in the first place, and to change it later.  Any idea what has happened and how I can get it to work again?  I have attached a short video of what I am trying to do - it is very simple and has previously always worked.  I looked at the forum and didn't see any examples of this behaviour.  Any advice would be appreciated. Can anyone tell me how you change change thr scale of an .dwg file?  I have not figured out a way to do this.  All my dimensions are way off because of this. Thanks for any advice Randy

Hi. I've used DesignSpark to create some parts but they are very basic. I'm still trying to learn what this program can do. I've never used 3d software before. As a retired Truck driver i collect 1/50 scale truck & Trailer models. There is very limited trucks and trailers available. I've been paying to have parts made. I will attach photos of some that have been done. These are  similar to what I'd like to be able to create myself. There is 2 photo's of truck Bonnets i had made and 2 photo's of truck cabs i would like to make. I have no idea where to start or even if its possible using this software. 

The problem: When I put the view in section mode, I cannot select the parts beyond the section plane. It's like an invisible barrier. In the example below, I want to pull the orange face up, however I cannot even select it due to the section plane being active.

Hi all,i am having a issue which drives me crazy and i dont find a answer.if i have a component, the coordinates of this component are rotated.The component itself aligns with the global coordinate system, but if i select an surface and click "on-view" the coordinates are rotated. How can i fix the coordinate system of the component itself? why is it like that?

HI, I am having a mare of a time trying to get DS M to do what I want.  To try and work out some of the problems I have gone right back to the beginning and am working through the learning videos from the start to try and get rid of the clicks in the wrong places and so on.  I have hit a problem - going through the mechanical training video on cut outs, my installation doesn't work as the one in the video.  Quick synopsis, a two sided box is formed with the pull tool (works as advertised) and then cartesian co-ordinates are used to create cutouts in one end.  When I select the sketch mode and a rectangle I click on cartesian co-ordianates.  I get the blue circle but I do not get the dimension anchor tools and when I click on where the circle is placed to set the origin the vertical numbering is reversed from the video (negative is up and positive is down) as a result the video now doesn't show me what I am seeing - Help please, how do I enable these tools?

In the attached file you will see a shaft with two shoulders on it.  I am trying to chamfer these to approximately 1 in 5.  So long as it's greater than this it'll be fine.  I cannot work out how to get pull to do it.  There are a lot of other things I can't seem to get the package to consistently do but this will do for a start.

who has probably a template, what I can use as A4 or A3 to make a professional drawing 2D out of it. Or who might know any tutorial to make a template like this and to use it. I cannot find any Documentation or video about it in DSM. I'm using DSM Engineering for mechanical Engineering. thanks in advance Stephan
