I’m looking into the possibilities of retrofitting a wireless mobile phone charger into my car using a charging coil transmitter.
My electrical wiring skills are next to non-existent so I was just wondering if anyone was aware of a guide that already existed?
Am I over simplifying this by assuming it would be as simple as wiring the charging transmitter to a piggyback fuse which can then be plugged directly into the car fuse box?
I’m also not sure as to how much if any insulation the transmitters require, I’m asking this as looking at the below coil available on the RS website the coil appears to be exposed. Would I need to ensure this is insulated when installed and would it be an issue if the coil was in contact with another surface?
Any help or advise is much appreciated.
