New pi-top launched – get yours now

Get your hands on the newly-launched pi-top, available from RS Components now. This latest pi-top provides more power and comes complete with inventor’s kit and full ecosystem to enable learning about coding and physical computing.

What’s new?

With its full-sized sliding keyboard, this latest pi-top is even easier to use, providing comfortable access to the modular magnetic rail so you can build your electronics and experiments. It also gives you easy access to all external ports on the back of the device. A new passive cooling bridge has been built in allowing faster, more stable processing with the Raspberry Pi. In addition to the new central trackpad, the new pi-top features a 14” 1920x1080 FHD LCD screen providing a vivid colour display.

In addition to the pi-top modular laptop itself, the new pi-top is supplied with a free inventor’s kit that includes over 20 separate projects allowing you to get hands-on straight from the box. Cardboard cutouts of spaceships, robots and more bring the projects to life – you just need to build the circuits and brains! Full support is provided with step-by-step guides in the pi-topCODER app, alongside the provided Inventor’s Guide (digital copy available here).

The perfect gift

Why not give the gift of learning this Christmas? This latest pi-top is the perfect gift for inventors, explorers and makers of all ages. Explore computer science behind the screen and underneath the keyboard through the creation of basic electronic inventions that allow you to invent and create in the digital and physical world. Get inspired and go behind the scenes to discover how everyday gadgets work with fun, hands-on projects – ideal to explore at home as a family too.
