Enabling Python on PSoC® 6 MCUs with Cypress, Zerynth, and RS Components

Cypress, Zerynth, and RS-Components are collaborating on an effort to bring the ultra-low-power, flexible, and secure PSoC 6 MCU to python developers creating next-generation IoT systems!

The PSoC 6 + WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit (175-4669) is now officially supported in Zerynth’s IDE allowing any developer to create IoT applications using PSoC 6 MCUs and Cypress Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.psoc_6_WiFi-BT_Pioneer_Kit_5bb446a293bfeb4227f675fb06bfb166b4d35657.png

Multiple example projects are provided in the Zerynth IDE to get you started with Python on PSoC. For example, at Embedded World 2019 there was a blockchain and cloud demo at both the Cypress and RS Components booth. Temperature and humidity data were processed on PSoC 6, sent to the cloud via Cypress Wi-Fi, and then authenticated via blockchain transactions on the Ethereum network. This was all done in less than 100 lines of python code in the Zerynth IDE. Check out how to replicate this project.
