Latching Relays

Rob14

I am a DIYer trying to design a wiring diagram for electronic door control for a Jack and Jill bathroom and I'm looking for some advice!

The Basics:

There are two doors.

I have 12vdc normally open electronic switch plates on each door jam (so if there is a power failure the the doors will be unlocked).

I have 12vdc electric momentary switch door locking buttons beside each door to lock and unlock each strike plate.

I am using store room door handles so that you can always exit by just turning the handle on the inside (so in an emergence - like a room full of smoke you can always exit).

I have 12vdc magnetic door micro switches on each door so that the locks will not work unless both doors are closed and if a door is opened when the strike plate is locked breaking this magnetic door micro switch circuit will release the locks so that you are not locked out.

Wiring plan:

2 magnetic door micro switches wired in series to a NO relay so that closing both the magnetic door micro switches triggers the relay to close its switch to power the momentary switch door locking buttons. Wire the momentary switch door locking buttons to a latching relay so that one press locks the strike plate and another press unlocks it. Also if the door is opened the magnetic door micro switch circuit is broken, which in turn breaks the switch powering the door locking button - which I hope will unlock the strike plate…?

Can anyone advice if this will work and also how a latching relay trigger needs to be wired (it has 2 wires unlike a standard triggered relay which has one wire terminal to trigger it).

Thanks.
