I am working on a shield for an arduino mega. The mega has ground and 5V connections on multiple headers. On the pcb I want to connect components to the closest connection point. Simplest would be if the power pins and components on the daughterboard are on the same net. Highlight net will show closest pin. However, the pcb now wants to duplicate the motherboard connections on the daughterboard. DRC complaints of gap in net. Any suggestions for a solution?
