Today, products are changing the way we all work and play—wearables, electric vehicles, and beyond. Power Supplies need to be suited for the latest applications test challenges and offer optimal choices in voltage, current, capability and performance.
Keysight bench power supplies are accurate and dependable to power your designs. Spanning a breadth of choices, these supplies are the right choice for manual and automated testing applications. With simplified cabling and built-in measurements capability, they are also ideal in the lab or on the production floor, ensuring accurate measurement results. The front panel controls are intuitive and easy to operate, coupled with advanced programmable and safety protection features.
For more than 50 years, Keysight DC power supplies have been changing the way engineers prove their design, understand the issues, and ensure product quality.
The Keysight E36100 Series is a great little supply that is impressive from every angle – size, display, interface, I/O and low acoustic noise. Built in a compact size (2U, ¼-rack), the supply features a high-contrast OLED display that is viewable from any angle, and modern USB and LAN (LXI Core) connectivity that lets you power your device remotely (soft front panel) and automatically (programming). It is very quiet and ideal for using in a research lab and bench operation.
Features highlight
1. Series connections to extend the voltage range
You can connect up to four E36100 Series power supplies up to the output isolation rating of any one supply, to obtain a higher voltage than a single power supply can produce. When the series connection is used, the output voltage is the sum of the voltages of the individual power supplies. The current is the current of any one power supply. Each of the individual power supplies must be adjusted in order to obtain the total output voltage.
2. Parallel connections to extend the current range
You can connect up to four E36100 Series power supplies in parallel to obtain a total output current greater than a single power supply can produce. The total output current is the sum of the output currents of the individual power supplies.
3. E36100 Series Web interface
You can monitor control the instrument from a web browser by using the instrument's web interface. To connect, enter the instrument's IP address or hostname in your browser's address bar and hit Enter.
This interface allows you to use the instrument just as you would from the front panel. Note, the curved arrow keys allow you to "turn" the knob. You can also click the knob to "push" it, just as you would push any of the other keys on the front panel.
4. Protect your device under test (DUT) with overvoltage, overcurrent and over-temperature detection
The output will be automatically turn OFF when OVP/OCP/OTP occurs to protect your DUT.
Conclusion
Supported on BenchVue software for the PC, it makes the E36100 Series simple to connect, control and view Keysight's power supplies simultaneously with other Keysight bench instruments, without programming.
You can control power supplies, visualise voltage and current output, log data, annotate captured data, and more. This is a powerful little supply that you would want to add to your bench.
