Metal switches were once the preserve of access control and areas with public use, but they are increasingly used in other markets where rugged construction and attractive styling are important.
The EAO Series 82 aluminium switches are part of an extensive range. Providing an excellent tactile feel, these products are available with or without illumination and with flat, raised or convex lens profiles. The illuminated versions have built-in resistors for direct illumination from 12, 24VDC, or 230V.
You can now see metal switches used on the bridge of a luxury yacht where styling, IP67 rating, saltwater resistance and reliability are important.

They are equally at home on a piece of industrial equipment like the control panel of a jetwash machine.
