This reference design takes into account the need to provide active measurements and a communication interface feedback loop using an Ethernet connection. Safety Integration Level 2 (SIL2) can also be met as the RX MCU is supported by Functional Safety Platform Software which has been certified by TÜV. Meaning this package can support safety functions and diagnosis to meet the SIL2 standard.
