Will DSM run on a MAC with a Windows emulator

I have been trying to run DSM on the Mac and managed to get it loaded and it appears to respond but!

The home screen window for the design is blank ,no plane showing.

It will not load any of my old STLs

Am I wasting my time trying to get it to work?
