Which layer does DSPCB uses to create 3D view models?

David_Acorde

I am starting to work with DSPCB v8, and I have some doubts about the way it created 3D views of components. If I create a PCB symbol with different layers, such as Top, Top silkscreen and Top assembly, which one does the program uses to create the 3D view? Does it uses the bigger one? Usually Top silkscreen is bigger than the component, as it has to be visible when the component is on the PCB, so it would be more exact to use other layer with a more detailed layer of the component body. I have not been able to find documentation on how this work, and the only thing I have deducted is that it has to be a closed shape.

I have a similar doubt regarding IDF export. which layer does DSPCB uses to create the body of the component when I export to IDF?

Thanks for the support.
