V6 License changes and text capabilities?

I've been a long-time user of V5, and while its great to see a new version coming out, its not so great to see that you can't import STL files any more (I can't afford the monthly license fee) - however, given that this is a new and improved version, can I ask how come there isn't a simple 'add text' button - similar to tinkercad?
