See attached file. I'm trying to use the rectangular block to remove a section of the tube-shaped object. I've tried to use the 'combine' command and cutter tool but get the "Unable to interect bodies" "1 body" error. When I tired to use the 'combine' command and Merge tool, I get an error that says "Cannot merge bodies. (Operation failed because the faces and edges would combine in a way that does not form a vaild solid or surface.) I would apprecate any insight as to what is wrong with my model or technique. I would also like to know if there is a knowledge base containing the most frequent causes of errors of different types, troubleshooting tools etc. This is my first project with DesignSpark so I know this won't be the only time I get stuck.
