One of the essentials of making an air quality monitoring device is naturally the choice of air pollutants to be measured. In this video, I take a closer look at various outdoor air pollutants, their sources, and the dangers they pose to human health. This consideration helped me to choose the pollutants that I found to be important, particularly for a place like Lagos State.
The engineers at Sensirion probably had the same idea in mind, as the versatility of the SEN55 environmental sensor, which measures Particulate Matter (PM), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in a single part, made my decisions a lot easier.
