The Interactive Air Quality Map: Vlog 10 - Deciding which air pollutants to monitor
One of the essentials of making an air quality monitoring device is naturally the choice of air pollutants to be measured. In this video, I take a closer look at various outdoor air pollutants, their sources, and the dangers they pose to human health. This consideration helped me to choose the pollutants that I found to be important, particularly for a place like Lagos State.
The engineers at Sensirion probably had the same idea in mind, as the versatility of the SEN55 (240-9022) environmental sensor, which measures Particulate Matter (PM), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in a single part, made my decisions a lot easier.
