PCB wire links & Track to Pad errors

When I create a single sided PCB in DS, I do so using a double sided design.

I represent wire links using straight sections of track on the top side of the board as shown in the example below.

That works fine apart from when the wire links have to be close together to save space.

This can result in Track to Pad errors when running the Design Rule Check tool.

Is there a way to avoid this?

I don't want to reduce the size of the pads on the copper side of the board where the wire links connect.

One solution (new feature) might be to allow different pad sizes on the top and bottom sides of the board where there would normally be a plated through hole.
