I am trying to blend the space between two surfaces and I am also trying to use "select guides" to influence the blend. I'm trying to model a diamond. The bottom shape is a heptagon (six sided in case you're like me an had to look it up) the top shape is a circle.
After selecting the surfaces and the blend tool I get the expected "wavey" shape.
I then select the guide tool and start to select guide lines.
Sometimes I can select multiple lines before it simply clears the blend and throws the "Inconsistent tangent and guide constraints" error, sometimes it will throw it as soon as I click the first guide.
Can anyone tell me what this error is trying to tell me and I guess along those same lines, what I can do to make this work consistently?
