File view and lack of response

I have been having sporadic issues with DSPCB in relation to any internal window for navigating or saving files.

Issues have been the files listed for the selected folder has not updated!

Pressing 'save' has no response.

Plus some other error messages that are wrong!

If you have experienced this the following 'may' be the fix...

I had installed a 64G USB 3.0 thumb drive for backup use, but when plugging in first time was given the option to speed up my system using ReadyBoost which I did. This may have coincided with the start of my problems?

Since disabling the feature I have not seen any of these quite frequent issues in DSPCB (but time will tell), I also notice that Windows File Explorer (Win 10) is much more responsive which is a good sign.

Anyone else experienced this and does the fix work?

Just for information a web search reveals countless similar issues with other programs on Win10, but none of the suggested fixes had any affect for me.
