Welcome to DMU Racing!!

We have been competing at Formula Student for nine years, now entering our tenth season. We placed 17^th in 2021, and have shown incredible progression since our first year, where we placed 44^th. As well as this, we consistently win Fastest Egress and had the Fastest Average Lap Time last year.

Our team is small but capable with a large range of educational backgrounds; ranging from Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aeronautical, Energy, and Electrical Engineering students as well as Business and Cyber Security students from all year groups. This diversity allows us to achieve a sustainable team structure by passing on knowledge to future generations of students is something we are very passionate about.

Apart from the colossal task of making an IC car to compete this year in Formula Student UK, we will also be entering a SECOND car as a concept. However, we won't just be just making a theoretical EV concept - that would be too easy. We will also be proving that some of the concepts work by making a full testing rig for high voltage and low voltage systems, this will make sure that our batteries, motor, motor controller, and safety systems work smoothly when in an actual car. 

We would like to thank the RS Grass roots fund for the massive help that they have given to us, as it opens more opportunities. The money will be spent on developing the test rig as mentioned above.
