I'm a regular solidworks user at work. I'm experimenting with Designspark for personal use and have twice encountered this situation:
After designing a series of components and tediously aligning them in an assembly, occasionally the components have turned into lightweight components and are locked to any editing.This seems to occur only after closing and then reopening the master assembly. Both times this has occured after importing a STEP file. I'm also suspicious of the "lock" parameter. I've attempted to recreate the scenario, but can not seem to determine the culprit.
I've tried to use the "Lightweight - load component/subassembly" button with no result.
I'd like to either avoid the situation or be able to restore the lightweight document as a normal document. Any suggestions?
