Adding pads in the schematic view.

ElectricJosh

Hey All,

I am designing a circuit in the schematic view that is spread over a couple of boards and connected with some basic cabling.

I am looking to connect it up by simply hand-soldering the cable ends to their respective boards. The pads in the PCB design view provide a perfect way to do this but I cannot find a way to tell DesignSpark to add a pad when translating from schematic view to PCB.

It would also be nice to have something visual in the schematic for my own reference as at the moment a lot of my circuitry looks unconnected, but I do not want to add any new net references.

My current solution is to use terminal blocks or SIL headers as pad placeholders to be replaced after I translate to PCB, but this seems like a clunky and potentially error inducing way to go about it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on reliable solutions for adding pads in schematic view?

Thank you in advance.
