LEDs have a much longer lifespan than other types of lighting, up to 20 years in some cases and LED lighting is also capable of displaying a broad spectrum of colours, which adds to their appeal in display environments.
Although generally more expensive than conventional lighting, LED lighting will eventually pay off, and in the meantime, you will get less radiant heat production, longer bulb life, and you could even control them with your Smartphone.

Be aware that RS# 809-2170 is obsolete (on clearance).
Cree lists the CMA1825 series as recommend alternative part for the CXA1850 series.
