I have a formula for a circle with 6 ripples. The circle has a radius of 10 and the ripple radius varies between 9 and 11.
x=(10+1*Sin(6*[t]))*Sin([t])
y=(10+1*Sin(6*[t]))*Cos([t])
z=0
Interval (t)
Start=0
End=2PI
The above formula works perfectly. I am trying to enter a new formula as follows where the ripple radius varies propotionally from 10*1.1 to 10/1.1 but am getting unexpected results.
x= (10*1.1^Sin(6*[t]))*Sin([t])
y= (10*1.1^Sin(6*[t]))*Cos([t])
I have attached screenshots of the two DS Mechanical curves above as one of a speadsheet graph showing both, which are very similar.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
