Hardware test for DC DC interleaved boost converter

Hardware test for Monolithic interleaved boost converter with MPPT:

-Hardware model: ST microelectronics, ISV008V1, (complementary 3 X SPV 1020)

-Use DC power supply and photovoltaic cell 2V to 28V input voltage

-Value and waveform of V, I, P, I ripple will be recorded by CRO.

PSIM simulation will be repeated if true hardware parameters are obtained by manufacturer’s manual or measurement.

The ISV008V1 has 3 sets of SPV1020 on same board and could be operated separately. DC power supply is used for hardware test and use only one channel for safe.

Rheostat is adopted as a resistive load for adjustment.

It is found that ISV008V1 requires an initial voltage for its operation. The gain is around 4~5 times and similar to the PSIM simulation.

The data are measured from one of the channel of ISV008V1. The converter will be operated when input voltage ranges around 6V~10V in two resistive loads.

The input voltage is about 8V and the converter will not further boost the output voltage though that rises to 18V.
