On 28 January 2015, a DesignSpark Mechanical Workshop ran in Ngee Ann Polytechnic in collaboration with RS Components. This event was an open workshop to introduce DesignSpark Mechanical V2, a newly launched version. This event attracted more than 15 lecturers and technical staffs of Ngee Ann Polytechnics to attend.
Before starting the workshop, a model designed by DesignSpark Mechanical was sent to the 3D printer so that at the end of the workshop the model would be ready. The workshop started off with a brief introduction of DesignSpark Mechanical and the special features of the newly launched DesignSpark Mechanical version 2. The basic and powerful functions of this tool were being showed off via a demonstration of a simple model by using DesignSpark Mechanical.
The lecturers and technical staffs of Ngee Ann Polytechnics also had an opportunity to try out the DesignSpark Mechanical on the spot with the step by step guide provided. The workshop ended with a Q&A session followed by a deep discussion of the benefits of DesignSpark Mechanical in education.
