Would you be willing to monitor air quality and share the data?

So if you could help raise worldwide awareness of air pollution from your own home or place of work, would you?

I think the answer to that question for many would be yes.

Just imagine that the data you collect, being used to raise awareness of air quality on a local, regional and global basis. This data cannot be ignored and ultimately with a more detailed overview, i.e more individuals sharing data, the overall picture becomes much more granular. With IoT connected sensor devices, user's data can be shared via the cloud, from this a  worldwide dashboard can be created through the various access points, your data is now actively contributing on a global issue.

The technology is already there to do this, so if the hardware costs for an air quality kit were reasonable would you join this type of community cause?

We are really interested to learn whether people from our community would be willing to actually set up an air quality monitoring application and send data to a cloud-based platform for sharing on a global scale.

Please add your opinion to this poll with a simple YES or NO comment below.

YES = You would do this.

NO = You wouldn't do this.

Yes; our home's Netatmo outdoor weather station already shares the data with WeatherUnderground (just temp, humidity, barometer, it doesn't have a CO sensor). Indoor CO2 is measured and controls our mechanical ventilation, but data isn't shared externally

Yes, I don't think people know the extent of it all.

I already cycle with a CleanSpace air monitor tag on my back. Only monitors CO, but interestingly is entirely parasitically powered https://our.clean.space/
