What Could You Learn in 7 Days?

by DesignSpark

If you have some spare time on your hands, then it's an ideal opportunity to learn a new skill, so why not download and try one of our design tools and see what you can learn in 7 days?

Specifically, you can design, model, simulate and analyse electronic circuits using our online DesignSpark Circuit Simulator, and once you have your design you can use DesignSpark PCB, which allows you to capture schematics and design PCB boards and layouts, then explore DesignSpark Mechanical, a powerful and intuitive 3D CAD design software, offering a seamless transition from 2D to 3D design.

With our tools, we also offer a free 7-day trial on our Creator and Engineer subscription plans, which enable additional features within our tools like importing and exporting STEP and IGES files, and 3D Mirror tool to name a few in DesignSpark Mechanical whilst in DesignSpark PCB there are features to help create blind and buried vias, and pre-plot checks for correct layer selection, so take advantage of this trial, and unlock additional functionality and see just how much you can learn and create in a short period. Whether you're interested in rapid prototyping, product design, or simply expanding your skill set, our design tools can bring your ideas to life.

Along with our tools, there is a vast array of information on our site to help you design and encourage creativity, from the Product Design Center, where you will find information on over 1 billion products, to technical articles like our Ask the Expert series, where we discuss popular topics and insights with leading suppliers and industry experts. Then there are our community forums where you can create new or join existing discussions about products, technology or software.

So what are you waiting for, download one of our tools today and see what you can learn in 7 days, but to help you decide here is a little more about our tools and resources:

Advantages of using Constraints during sketching

The video below shows 'a basic use case example' using just enough constraints to quickly assist in creating the sketch, as opposed to fully dimensioning and constraining sketches which is recommended practice in other CAD applications, but takes longer to do.

The v5 referenced video, instructs how to enable constraint sketching and although it gives a good full description of functionality, it's now been much improved in v6 with new sketch tools, new constraint tools and revised icon shapes with dimensional label and expression functionality now fully supported.
