(7) Learn how students are changing the world one project at a time

"Learn how students are changing the world one project at a time" is a 9-part series from a group of Hong Kong students who are using innovative engineering to improve their community and ultimately the world. Take a look at what these students have created.

Toiletries Manager

This project aims to manage the usage of the bathroom inventory. Sensors are applied to monitor the usage. It measures whether something is going to be used up. The system then sends a notification through a mobile app to the user and asks them to refill (see Figure 7-1).

Up to now they are working on the database server (see Figure 7-2) and the pressure sensor with the microcontroller (see Figure 7-3). They will integrate them together with a mobile app.
