I just read a colleagues (Matt Saunders, Snr Marketing Manager for MCU & Wireless products) document on minimising power consumption on ARM Cortex-M MCU's and thought I would share with the community as it's interesting reading and saving power always seems to be a hot topic.
Attached is the document which includes commentary on reducing the MCU power consumption with the Thumb-2power instruction set, power saving interrupt controller techniques and memory considerations.
It also highlights some of the key features/benefits of the M0+ core and offers some things to consider when designing for maximum power saving.
These energy saving tips can be implemented on Silicon Labs EFM32 range of ARM Cortex-M 32 bit MCU's.
