Part of my third project. As a laser technician at FORTH, I work with articulating arms as well. Robotic arms drive laser beams in space. For example, such an arm drives an infrared, ultraviolet and visible laser beam (either together or separately) on a target such as a piece of art (painting, marble etc) for restoration and cleaning purposes.
The arm includes laser optics with special coatings and can be moved/rotated 360 degrees when properly aligned.
