In Hong Kong, elderly falling is a very important issue. 25% of elderly people suffer from all and 75% of them get injuries including head injuries and fractures. This project is to develop a falling detector for elderly people. The program flow of the detector is shown in Fig. 1.

Comment by judges: The original idea is good but unfortunately they cannot build up the prototype properly. They should ask for help if they cannot solve some program in building the prototype. Finally, they can only demonstrate the functions of different sensors and devices (a barometer, an acceleration detector, and a vibration motor) but they cannot put them together to work out the prototype.
