Test and Measurement

I am attempting to measure the power consumption of a server for an experiment I am running. Currently, I am looking at utilising a GPM-8213 Power Meter with a GPM-001 Power Meter Test Fixture. Would there be a more cost-effective way of doing this?  The voltage will be roughly 200-240V with a max current of 15A and I need to be able to connect the measurement devices to read into a separate PC, ideally suitable to be read into LabVIEW. I hope you all are having an awesome day.   I need a 3.3V power supply. I found the ID1117-33 chip but it only can supply 800mA, I need at least 1.5A (a higher amperage is better but not required ). The input voltage can be either 24V or 5V. The 5v power supply can handle 8A so it should not be a problem.   So I am wondering if anyone knows of such an animal?   

Hi,I want to add to design LED indication for Rx, Tx over pull up resistors, please refer picture for more detail. I do not know is this good idea or is better to add two dedicated outputs on MCU only for RX, Tx LED management.Please share pros and coins for solution on picture.Thanks.    

Hi! I'm working on a project and I need to make a platine that regulates different voltages. The output voltages I need are 1.8V(500mA) 3V3(1A) 5V(3A) 7V(2A) 12V(4A) and I don't know how to start. Do I need to choose one regulator for all of them or one regulator for each one. It would be nice that someone could help me. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am doing a project about smart home, Infineon's ICE5AR4770BZS-based auxiliary SMPS for 15W high-efficiency home appliances. My question is why no need to add additional mosfets if we use Integrated ICE5AR4770BZS with Infineon? This solution is quite simple confuse me.  Thanks in advance.  

I found on YouTube (YouTube Current Booster) this circuit, and would like to try it on a current project. I do not need 60 Amps but only 10 to 12 Amps. My question is can I use a single MosFet instead of the 2 in their circuit? According to the IRFP2500 data sheet it can handle 30 Amps, which is a lot more amps than I need. What MosFet will fit my needs? If possible an SMD device (with a heat sink) would be nice but not necessary.   The power supply I plan to use is Buck Regulator Power Supply Module.       Is this a good design?          

I've literally just considered designing a rodent scarer using frequencies above 20kHz and dug out a vintage piezo tweeter and wondering before I start searching if anyone has any experience in this area? The limited spec for the device is. So the first issue I have to account for is I need an amplifier which is stable driving a capacitive load. But what about the drive voltage?I'm suspicious of the mentioned 400W rating as I can't imagine driving the tweeter at this power and assuming it just means it is suitable for an audio amplifier of 400W rating as a tweeter. It can also be added on to the low and mid-range speakers directly and a cross-over filter is not required. So in summary what would be the suggested amplifier requirements?

I hope to analyze the data and build a dashboard based on the car's telemetry. This specific question is in relation to a chip (STM32F1) on an IoT board (MXChip AZ3166) I already own, which I hope to incorporate into my overall solution as the data acquisition layer. Good Morning, I would be grateful if anyone could help me identify a NFC antenna that I can plug into an Android device. Can someone figure out what the issue is?   Connected 2 cables black + red from Offical 7" touch screen to Raspberry Pi 4 model B and white cable.     Nothing showing on screen in terms of any light nor graphical images.

I am attempting to implement an automated watering system for plants using MicroPython and a Raspberry Pi IO, but am experiencing difficulties getting the water pump to function as intended. The pump has a specified operating voltage range of 2.5 - 6 V and a current range of 130 - 220 mA. I followed the instructions provided in a tutorial on https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Automatic_Plant_Watering_System_using_Raspberry_Pi_Pico.html for connecting the pump, but when attempting to use it, I only hear a faint ticking noise. The rest of the system, including the soil moisture sensor, temperature/humidity sensor, and ultrasonic sensor, are functioning properly. Can you provide any assistance in troubleshooting the issue with the water pump?

Hi  I am looking for a battery holder that delivers 1.5 volts for a dolls house lights. I think I want 4 or 6 AA batteries.   How can I tell if the RS holders delver in series or parallel? Thanks

For family and friends over recent years I have recycled several Li-Ion batteries. Several were difficult to extract from older cameras and phones and had swelled significantly! My question is I know using/charging swollen Li-Ion batteries has a fire risk, but what about old presumably discharged batteries that then swell? I went through all my old cameras and phones and then found two in the same state! I'm sure I'm not alone with old equipment so it would be useful to have an answer.
