Sensing Technologies

Sensors are often referred to as the eyes and ears of industry, from factory automation to process control the application of sensors seems limitless. Moving with the times sensors are constantly evolving and keeping pace with newer technology. They are faster, smarter and more integrated than ever before and with the advent of IoT and Industry 4.0 sensors are the first line gateway in providing key data for control and remote monitoring of the industrial process.

Try as you wish, you cannot avoid them in your day to day life and within industry they are ever present. Almost everything can be sensed these days, presence, vibration, sound, light, movement, temperature, humidity, velocity and even colour. Sensors also allow us to interact with technology in ways we never thought possible, touch sensors allow us to work alongside bench robots in a safe and controlled manor, with a multitude of application possibilities sensors really are industrial solution providers.

This hub is the place to post application information, product solutions and key insight around sensing technologies. Check back for regular updates.
