Schneider EcoStruxure™ makes real-time data about individual machines, an entire machine line, or a specific process in a factory, transparent and available to the end user, the OEM, or the automation supplier. In turn, those same end users can rely on a stream of accurate data to manage the availability of their machines and match production capacity to the demands in the market. The first step towards generating this real-time data is to get all products and systems connected.
Schneider Electric has achieved this with their IoT-enabled open and interoperable system architecture and platform – EcoStruxure™. EcoStruxure™ leverages advancements in IoT, mobile, sensing, cloud, analytics, and cybersecurity technologies to deliver innovation at every level – from connected products to edge control, to applications, analytics, and services, and is available for all different branches of industry. The products, the drives, the sensors in the Schneider Electric EcoStuxure™ range are all endowed with cloud connectivity.
The next layer in the EcoStruxure™ platform is to incorporate edge control so users can control the machines which will collect the data and act as a gateway to deliver it to the cloud. Once data is available via the cloud, the EcoStruxure™ platform also offers analytics capabilities so users can carry out further analysis.
