Reference Descriptors Not Changing With Checkboxes

Ok, here is another one. On the schematic (yes, it came back after two logouts), I don't want the package information displayed. So I modified the symbol "R" value under "edit" in the library routine, after clicking on "properties".

I unclicked the "R" box, and clicked on a couple of the other boxes. So at least the display would change. It did not. No amount of checking or unchecking would alter the schematic display. Am I doing this the right way? It seems like I am. Things like this are what separates the big dogs, like AutoCAD, from everyone else. EVERYTHING in AutoCAD works. All the time.

Whoever is writing this software, these details MUST be accounted for. There cannot be any cracks at all. I would like to hear any and all responses! R.
