It took awhile for me to upgrade to R13, and now I want to upgrade to R13.1.
However, it turns out the upgrade to R13 did not go as planned.
I have removed R12. The only version remaining is R13.0.
The schematic is up to date and correct. The Library as shown in Component at the right side of the screen is almost correct.
But when trying to place an additional component, even though the schematic symbol at the lower right is correct, the inserted schematic symbol is missing pin descriptions. Tried to update all components, and read the report. The project path and design path are still V12. The component path is V13. Components that were long deleted are still trying to update. Components that are currently in the schematic are missing (but only 2 or 3).
The library in V12 is empty. I have disabled all library folders except my own. The already deleted parts do not appear anywhere except in the Update Components list. I can delete a few corrupted components and re-enter them, no problem.
How do I sync everything?
In review, there are two main problems. One, the project and design paths are wrong. Second, the list for Component Update is not the same as the library list for current Components.
Thank you! This PCB software is getting easier to use, but the rough edges continue... Perhaps the best move going forward is to start and complete a project within a single version.
