ABOUT US
PRz Racing is a Formula Student team operating under the banner of Rzeszów University of Technology in Poland. Our mission remains as ambitious as ever: to design, build, test, and race a fully functional, high-performance electric single-seater within a tight, ten-month development cycle. Beyond the adrenaline of international competitions, our workshop serves as a real-world engineering laboratory where students turn theoretical knowledge into cutting-edge hardware, firmware, and advanced composite structures.
THE PMT-08e EVOLUTION
Following our strong debut and continuous development in the Electric Vehicle (EV) category, the 2025/2026 season was all about refining architecture, maximizing powertrain efficiency, and deepening our data-driven engineering approach.
Building on the foundations of our previous designs, our latest bolide — PMT-08e — represents a major leap in reliability, packaging, and integration. We took the lessons learned on tracks across Europe and focused on shaving off unnecessary mass, increasing torsional stiffness, and enhancing driver feedback through smarter control algorithms.
KEY INNOVATIONS & TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Optimised Powertrain & In-Hub Motors:
Refining the integration of our rear-axle hub motor layout, we achieved improved transient torque response, regenerative braking efficiency, and tighter packaging inside the wheel assemblies.

Full Carbon-Fiber Monocoque:
The PMT-08e relies on an optimized full-carbon monocoque chassis. By fine-tuning the laminate layup and sandwich core selection, we achieved superior structural rigidity and driver safety while keeping the overall vehicle weight to an absolute minimum.

Advanced HV Accumulator & Safety Architecture:
The high-voltage accumulator container, manufactured from lightweight composite materials, features an upgraded thermal management system and optimized cell modularity. Safety, high-voltage isolation, and rapid serviceability were the main priorities during this redesign.

Suspension & Dynamics (Roll-Heave System):
Our decoupled roll-heave suspension architecture was further calibrated, allowing independent tuning of aerodynamic pitch/heave stiffness and mechanical roll stiffness for exceptional mechanical grip in tight slaloms and hairpins.
POWERED BY RS - ELECTRONICS AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
For the PMT-08e electric race car, our team developed custom PCBs for BMS management, telemetry, dashboard displays, and the VCU.
Components, wiring, connectors, and testing tools from RS were essential throughout prototyping and manufacturing, ensuring critical electrical reliability and high performance under severe thermal and vibration conditions.
TEAM SPIRIT & MULTIDISCIPLINARY SYNERGY
Behind PMT-08e is an interdisciplinary crew of over 100 dedicated students spanning engineering, IT, management, marketing, and finance. Building a race car is an exercise in complex project management: from structural FEA simulations, aerodynamic CFD analyses, and rapid CNC manufacturing, to financial accounting, sponsor relations, and event logistics.
Every section operates as a vital gear in a high-speed machine, fostering an environment where junior students learn directly from experienced leaders and alumni.
TRACK TESTING & COMPETITIONS
Having established ourselves among the top Formula Student EV teams in Central Europe, the PMT-08e season pushes our boundaries on international circuits such as Formula Student Czech Republic and Formula Student Alpe Adria in Croatia.
Competing across both Dynamic disciplines (Acceleration, Skidpad, Autocross, Endurance & Efficiency) and Static events (Engineering Design, Cost & Manufacturing, Business Plan Presentation) proves that our engineering process is backed by sound economic and technical rationale.
Every meter covered on the track provides invaluable data for future telemetry analysis and validates the relentless work done in the workshop. We are immensely proud of what our team has created with PMT-08e and deeply grateful to RS for empowering young engineers to push the boundaries of motorsport innovation.
