Power Triple Lock connectors secure performance in multiple applications

When you need to deliver power (up to 20 Amp and 600V) in standard or extreme temperatures, up to 150 degrees Celsius, TE Connectivity’s POWER TRIPLE LOCK connector system locks into place for a reliable, high-performing connection. The POWER TRIPLE LOCK series offers a wire-to-wire, wire-to-board portfolio of connectors with four different resins— ranging from standard to glow wire to hot wire and high temperature—giving designers and manufacturers options across multiple industrial, commercial and home applications.

Triple-assurance mating

POWER TRIPLE LOCK connectors offer 3-in-1 reliability for a secure connection. First, they have an anti-snag locking latch that provides positive feedback—an audible “click”—when cap and plug are mated. The surrounding ribs help prevent wire snags. Then, two optional features combine to provide triple security to guarantee the connection: Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) prevents terminals from backing out of the housing, ensuring contacts are fully seated, and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) provides an enhanced locking system that helps ensure the connector system cannot be disengaged due to environmental or other unexpected forces.

To provide additional assurance against mismatching, mismating and other issues in assembly, the connectors are color-coded so assemblers, maintenance technicians and other users can easily identify the different connections. Color-coding corresponds to the different resins and materials used, allowing a quick visual check to ensure correct assembly and that the right material is used for a specific application.
