Designed specifically for Raspberry Pi developers that wish to construct audio playback or record projects, PiFi is an expansion board that adds a CD quality audio to the Raspberry Pi.
The PiFi board features three audio outputs that include stereo headphones, SPDIF and speakers as well as an on-board microphone and an external microphone connection. It has the same form factor as the Pi, so it can be easily mounted above the Pi using a micro USB cable and stand-off pillars. The PiFi has a cut-out around the GPIO port to allow other peripherals to be connected without interference and it also provides two USB2.0 ports for connection to other USB devices so that no USB ports are lost.
The board is fully ALSA driver compatible and requires only minimal setup for high quality audio reproduction.
