Importing and exporting projects

We currently have a lot of legacy stuff using Proteus Isis/Ares. Can we import into DesignSpark?

Conversely, to stop us getting into the same position with DesignSpark, can we import DesignSpark schematics and layouts into (say) Altium?

So no open file formats for schematics and layouts? I don't want to end up with DesignSpark where we are now with Proteus ie legacy stuff tied to a program we do not like. If we are starting with a clean slate, which is what we want, is there any way to "future proof" it?

Unfortunately 'no'. DSPCB will open later version Eagle files but not Proteus files.
The issue is common across all PCB CAD systems, each uses its own data format files the format of which is kept confidential to avoid losing their customers! To gain customers they attempt to import other formats, but even so, this may require some rework and rebuilding libraries due to differences between how each CAD system functions.
