PCB: Connections still showing after routing

 I've been using DS PCB off and on for a couple of years now, and I have a recurring issue:  After manually routing a connection, the old direct connection sometimes still shows.  It will survive a redraw, and even a shutdown and restart.  They usually magically go away eventually.

I'm sure it's something simple, but what's the trick?
