Nurturing the next generation of engineers

Recently, RS Components visited the University of Hertfordshire. The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness of RS Components’ products and services with the next generation of engineers.

A lasting impact was left behind over the course of the 2 days. What do we mean by lasting impact…. well RS drove a huge truck full of the latest in product innovation and design. It even had chocolates and donuts to really sweeten the hearts of all visiting.

On board were a group of RS Components Key Account Managers ready to give the visitors all the information they needed and more importantly – chocolates.

For the most part, the people attending were students with either a lot of knowledge of the RS Components or limited know-how. However, no one left indifferent to the informative and friendly nature of the RS personnel.

The University of Hertfordshire holds a special place with RS Components both as a customer and partner. ‘A Partner’ because it also is a Partner University to the RS University programme where the DesignSpark tools are provided and taught on campus. The University of Hertfordshire with its friendly staff and students will remain an important asset to RS Components.

During the course of the 2 days, close to 700 students and staff went through the RS Truck doors. Take a look for yourself and we hope to see you at the next RS Truck visit.

Focused on providing the next generation of engineers with the tools, skills and resources to express innovative ideas and love what they do.
