Time to test ...

I like these crafted designs and time-keeping displays offer many possibilities.
Anyone, like me, who has, listened to wood or Bakelite valved radios in the past appreciate the warmth these brought to Saturday evenings.
I'm a stickler for accurate time and am going through the many stages of building a master clock, like the old Gents master-slave clocks in offices and factories. I'm finding the hardest bit being the display and have tried LED matrices, alphanumeric etc. The time bit is relatively easy using GPS and an Arduino (I gave up with MSF).
The plan is GPS provides the time source -- the time-keeping is done by RTC (DS3231) and the Arduino TimeLib library. The DS3231 might be off by 1-second in 24-hrs, so a pulse from the master clock at midnight (actually 23:30:30 to avoid rollover problems) corrects just the seconds.
Very satisfying getting the time from 22,000 miles away.
