Bridgetek is pleased to announce that its BT815 embedded video engine (EVE) graphics controller has been incorporated into the new Gameduino 3X Dazzler open source gaming development module from Excamera Labs.
By using the BT815, this Arduino-compatible shield has access to 1280 x 720 pixel high-definition graphics, along with 48KHz stereo audio. It is able to interface with large format monitors and TV screens via the built-in 24-bit HDMI video interface. As are result, far more exciting and content-rich gaming experiences can be derived. Supporting 1.1Gbps operating speeds, the EVE chip also allows high-definition video playback at frame rates of 30fps. Its adaptive scalable texture compression (ASTC) capabilities mean that demands on available memory resources are kept to an absolute minimum.
The Gameduino 3X Dazzler crowdfunding campaign is already close to reaching its target. Units are just $39 for one or $99 for a pack of three.
