Knocking the corners off.

I have a component that looks like this:gXjYCDXhn4RTAVn3ZhejXQ.png

The disk is 30mm diameter and 1mm thick. The edge grooves were formed by Pull Revolve Helix, a 0.5mm diameter disc, centred at the edge of the bottom face, using a pitch of 50 mm and a length of 2mm; and then Move Pattern, the oblique, semicircular face 100 times around the discs centre.

So far, so good.

Now I wanted to "knock the corners off". Ie. Apply a 0.25mm bevel to the top and bottom edges. I tried:

  1. Select one inter-groove, radial edge; use the selection options: search - Edges with same length - to select all the edges; then Pull Bevel, 0.25mm. 4 hours later... still churning. Abort!
  2. Construct a cutting tool and Pull-Revolve-Cut it around the disk:l7_o7d1weQw9noDX1-dSeA.png

it ran for 20 minutes, and ... did nothing! No errors, just no effect.

  1. (actually 3! Dumb software!) I Pulled a 45° line into a surface and attempted to Combine-Cut the two:O9stgOLEwOu50d3vNCPg4g.pngAnd got the always infuriating: Unable ...blah, blah!

Any thought as to how to chamfer those edges -- other than chamfering the disc BEFORE cutting and replicating the grooves; which I can see might work, but UNDO won't go that far back.
