Is it necessary to use a fuse at the 24V power supply of the switching power supply?

There is a 350W 24v switching power supply, which we use to power modules such as PLC and relays. In an accident, it is estimated that the line is short-circuited and sparks occur. Most of the modules in the circuit are burned. If I pass the fuse after the switching power supply, can this situation be completely avoided? In addition, can the short-circuit protection of the switching power supply protect the modules in the circuit from being burned under normal circumstances?
