  • The controller: simple and reliable using a partnership of CPU and DSP micro-processors and compact MOSFET drives.
  • Teach pendant: to conveniently control the robot arm.
  • ROBOFORTH II embedded software: to start easily the most complex motions, interfaces and peripherals to be programmed, assisted by ROBWIN project manager that brings everything together on a single Windows screen.

R17 robot arm

R17 is a low cost entry to robotics, fast, accurate and reliable and easy to program. It has a long reach, with 5 or 6 axis configurations, and therefore a larger and much more useful workspace than comparable machines. Originally designed by a Russian engineer in our Cambridge location, the mechanics are simple and phenomenally reliable. There are R17 Mk1s in service which have been running 3 shifts a day for 12 years without failure.

Latest version of R17 uses new light weight, high speed, high efficiency hybrid stepping motors with intelligent micro-stepping for both power and speed and for low speed precision when required. Each motion of the robot is monitored by the encoders that stop all motion in the event of a collision or other problem.

R17 is available in different versions:

R17-5axis: standard configuration with 750mm reach and 1Kg payload

R17-6axis: with optional 6th axis.

R17HS: High Speed version up to 480 deg/s (waist/elbow) with hybrid stepping motors on axes 2,3,4,5. Incremental encoder watchdogs.

R17HP: High Payload up to 3Kg with high torque micro-stepped hybrid stepping motors.
Incremental encoder watchdogs.

R12 robot arm

R12 is a complete self-contained five (optional six) axis vertically articulated robot arm system designed as a cost effective solution for bench top automation. Applications include testing, sample handling, machine feeding. The hand terminates in a mounting plate to which can be mounted one of our low cost grippers, vacuum pickups or your own device.

R12 is a very low cost entry to robotics, fast, accurate and reliable and easy to program yet capable of the most complex tasks. It has a useful 500mm reach. Designed by a young engineer building on our existing R17 technology it is a breakthrough in bench top robotics.

R12-5axis
