How can I add a component to my schematic or PCB layout?

This tutorial requires:

DesignSpark PCB V11.0.0

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open schematic

Open the schematic or PCB design file you want to add a component too. We will be picking a component from the default library supplied with the software.

2. Add component

From the Add menu on the left-hand side, click on Add component.

3. Select library

From the Library drop-down list, pick DesignSpark if not already selected. This is just used for a demo and you can use any of the manufacturer specific libraries per your needs.

4. Choose component

Choose LED from the component list and click on Add.

5. Place symbol

Click again to place the symbol on your schematic or PCB layout.
