This low price voice recognition home automation system is for those who are physically challenged with paralysis or palsy but are still able to still speak and listen in order to manage and control assorted home appliances. Users could select the elevation of a bed by simply using voice commands for example.
This system consists of a voice recognition module, Arduino Uno microcontroller, and a relay control circuit.
The voice recognition module must be trained initially in order for it to acknowledge the key command of the user. Upon productive recognition of the voice command, the Arduino drives the corresponding load with the assistance of the relay circuit. The adjustable bed elevations are often set to 3 different levels allowing the user to select their desired position. The accuracy of voice recognition module is additionally measured in several conditions. The experimental results validate the functions of the projected system. The results show the system will give assistance to those who are physically challenged with no requirement for third parties to be present.
