Mark your calendars, the Hackaday Unconference, sponsored by DesignSpark, is heading to Ireland on Saturday 7th April 2018. The event will take place at the Project Arts Centre in the famous Temple Bar area of Dublin.

At DesignSpark our community members are at the heart of everything we do, which is why we provide free software, tools and resources to engineers and makers around the world. And now thanks to our partnership, we are pleased to offer you the chance to attend an unmissable event at an incredible venue for free! Our last event with Hackaday sold out in less than 24 hours, so get your ticket now before they are gone.

What is an Unconference?

An Unconference is a conference without an agenda or predetermined topics. It is a unique opportunity for collaboration and creativity. The topics are generated by attendees on the spot, making the Hackaday Dublin Unconference the best way to put your finger on the pulse of what is happening in the hardware world right now.

Each attendee should be ready to stand and deliver a seven-minute informal talk on something that excites them right now. We want to hear about what’s on your workbench right now! This can be a prototype, project, or product currently in progress at your home, work, or university. It could even be a concept, idea or skill that you’re now exploring. The point is to channel your passion and excitement, passing it on to others in a friendly environment with like-minded people.

Who will be there?

This event is for the Hackaday and DesignSpark communities. It is a great chance to meet some of the people behind the projects that you read about every day. There will also be members of the editorial teams from Hackaday and DesignSpark in attendance.

Our last event in London was attended by makers from around Europe such as; Seb Lee-Delisle who wowed Belgrade with his laser projection wizardry, James Larsson who was part of the crew that started the Flashing Light Prize and Phoenix Perry, who is always on the cutting edge of where people and technology meet.
