Grinn Launches GenioBoard - Edge AI SBC

A Development Platform Built Around GenioSOM-700 to Accelerate Edge AI Product Design

Grinn has announced the launch of the Grinn GenioBoard, a powerful Edge AI Single Board Computer (SBC) designed to accelerate prototyping, streamline product development, and shorten the path from concept to market for embedded and AI-enabled applications.

Designed for Rapid Prototyping and Seamless Transition to Production

Built around Grinn GenioSOM-700 system-on-module, the Grinn GenioBoard bridges the gap between development and deployment by offering full access to all key interfaces and peripherals within a compact, production-ready footprint. This architecture allows engineers to prototype on the same technology stack that will later power their end product, minimising design iterations, integration risks, and certification complexity.

The board delivers outstanding Edge AI performance powered by MediaTek Genio 700 technology. It supports real-time AI inference for computer vision, multimedia processing, and intelligent control tasks executed directly on the device. High-speed interfaces such as HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4 allow 4K output for visualisation and analytics applications, while two 4-lane CSI camera interfaces enable efficient data input for vision-based algorithms. Developers can also extend the system’s capabilities through M.2 connectors — the M-key slot supports AI accelerators over PCIe Gen2, and the E-key slot provides connectivity for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

Hardware Security for Industrial Applications

Security and reliability are fundamental to the Grinn GenioBoard’s architecture. The platform integrates Infineon’s OPTIGA™ Trust M hardware security module, which provides hardware-level encryption, identity authentication, and secure key storage. This security infrastructure supports compliance with the European Cybersecurity Resilience Act and helps ensure product integrity throughout the device’s lifecycle.

The board is designed for continuous operation in demanding environments, with an input voltage range of 5 to 20 volts, typical power consumption around 6 watts, and an operating temperature range from minus 20 to plus 70 degrees Celsius.
